Acqua di Parma Colonia Review

Number 7 on my TOP10 Best Selling Mens Colognes – Colonia by Acqua di Parma

Top note: Sicilian citrus

Middle note: Lavender and Damask Rose

Base notes: Vetiver, Sandalwood and Patchouli

Launched: 1916

As you already know, TOP10 colognes for men are the best selling fragrances according to online retailers and not my personal choice.

You can agree with it or not but that is what they (we) buy we and we all have to accept it.

But with this post I would like to start a new list. My own private TOP10 colognes for men, fragrances I owe and use on daily basis and what’s the most important – I love and adore and wouldn’t replace with anything else.

Acqua di Parma Colonia, the only cologne from my best selling list I would actually buy.

This fragrance has been around since 1916 and hasn’t failed many generations of men (it is considered as gender neutral so could be used by women also).

As far as an opening Sicilian citrus note is concerned – it can’t get much better than this, smooth and not too sharp.

Clean, natural, extraordinarily refreshing, lemony barbershop fragrance that starts with citrus blast, followed by lavender and sophisticated musk, rose and patchouli during the dry-down.

This is one of my favorite warm/hot weather scents, absolutely perfect for those warm summer nights.

It does not have a great longevity so you may need to reapply it throughout the day but it will only allow you to experience this fabulous citrus opening again and again so remember – don’t be shy on the trigger.

Ever wondered what Cary Grant, David Niven, Ava Gadner, Eva Turner and Audrey Hepburn have in common? They all were among the passionate admirers of this classic and timeless cologne.

I have only two regrets regarding this classic Italian scent: I wish it was a little bit cheaper and last a tiny bit longer on my skin.
Other than that – bottled perfection, highly recommended wonderful cologne.
