The story continues…

Dior Homme Eau (2014) is a new Macy’s-exclusive flanker to 2005’s Dior Homme.
Fran├žois Demachy, Dior Perfumer-Creator, designed new Dior Homme Eau for Men with the idea of an effortlessly elegant, urban allure in mind.

Eau for Men is a fresh yet directly masculine fragrance, its immediacy is its soul.

Dior Homme Eau

“Dior Homme Eau for men has a strong sharp opening, using an incisive note of grapefruit as its immediate hook.
Its confident and spontaneous charm comes next, from a blend of spicy, aromatic Coriander with Calabrian Bergamot, for a combination that instantly invites you to follow.
The heart then unfolds with the elegant floral masculinity of the sexy Tuscan Iris.
An edgy, woody, amber base spreads with strength, leaving in its path the promise of its beautiful intensity.”
The above is from press release and not my personal opinion.

Short video promoting this fragrance and directed by Romain Gavras (son of Costa Gavras) went viral and has generated almost 17.5 million views on YouTube (17,475,921 to be precise as for February 22nd 5.03pm).

I can only presume one of the reasons for that number is the 27-year-old Twilight-saga star Robert Pattinson who generously “rented” his cold body and pale face for the purpose of this campaign.

“I like trying to do ambitious things” – says Pattinson.
Let’s hope his ambition will wrap his feet neatly so they fill the shoes of his legendary precursors and former Dior faces – Marlon Brando, James Dean, Paul Newman and Monty Clift.

Also, for the first time in history, Led Zeppelin agreed to associate itself with a fragrance.
I love Zeppelins. I don’t love Pattinson. I don’t like Homme Eau for Men but this bottle is a handsome piece of the glass!

Available at Macy’s ($62/1.7oz, $84/3.4oz)
