Kenzo Homme Night is more romantic, sensual and spontaneous version of the original Kenzo Homme from 1991 and follows Kenzo Homme Fresh (2006), Kenzo Homme Boise (2010), Kenzo Homme Sport (2012) and Kenzo Homme Sport Extreme from 2013.
The man on whom the fragrance concept is modeled is imagined as spontaneous, ready to take risks, a bit silly and very seductive. He doesn’t take himself too seriously and is fun to be around.
I got a gut feeling that the next version would be called Kenzo Homme Platinum Edition. You need to be relevant and trendy these days and Platinum is an obvious choice for a new name. Flanker’s naming hierarchy also includes Intense, Summer and Absolute to name just a few so I may as well be wrong.
For those of you not familiar with the word “flanker” and still wondering what it is, let me explain.
A flanker in perfume industry is a new version of fragrance which is slightly different from the original but not different enough to advertise and sell it under a brand new name.
So if you’re a real Kenzo Homme fan, you like wearing it to work but you wear Kenzo Homme Sport to the gym and Kenzo Homme Sport Extreme while cave base jumping in Africa. Cave base jumping deserves something extreme.
Following this line of reasoning, you should wear Kenzo Homme Night under your PJs. Or just on its own.
Kenzo Homme Night is available as 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.
