Asian Tales is a fragrance collection created by perfumer Calice Becker for luxury niche fragrance house by Kilian and inspired by the far east world.
via by Kilian press release:
Asian Tales collection was first conceived as an olfactive voyage, yet soon transformed into a spiritual journey as meanings behind symbols and words became increasingly significant and relevant. As the creation took shape, every detail was placed with careful attention and with the intent to pay homage to this great culture.
Kilian’s Asian Tales collection debuted in 2012 with citrus aromatic Bamboo Harmony (notes include bergamot, bitter orange, neroli, white tea leaves, mimosa, spices, yerbamate, fig leaves, oakmoss) followed by floral aquatic Water Calligraphy (grapefruit, reseda, water lily, jasmine sambac, magnolia, cardamom, vetiver) and floral fruity Flower of Immortality released in 2013 (white peach, carrot seeds, iris, black currant, rose tonka bean).
In Imperial Tea by Kilian Calice Becker tried to reproduce the note one breathes when sipping jasmine tea, the fragrant steam rising upwards, a greenish smell with delicate jasmine bud notes, a refined pleasure.
Sacred Wood by Kilian is centered around santalum album, the essential oil of which is possible thanks to the Mysore variety being sustained outside India. The fragrance is backed up by complementing lactonic notes.
